Settings Dialog
This documentation was written for releases up to 2018 and is being revised. Some dialogs have changed since. If something does not match what you see, write to mc@mcgrating.com.
This dialog contains several pages:
General: wavelength, incident angles, polarization state and truncation orders (define the total number of Fourier harmonics in field decomposition).
Layers: thickness, refractive index.
Grating: grating X and Y periods, profile, depth.
Scanning versus some General and Layers parameters.
Resonance search.
Fields and power flows.
Options
Under the pagers there are three buttons:
- Ok applies all changes in this dialog and hides it.
- Run applies all changes in this dialog, hides it and starts the calculations.
If changes concern only the representation of the results data (number of digits, format of output: power or amplitude, number of displayed diffraction orders and also selected field or power flow component), the data already saved in memory will be used to recalculate the new representation. The real calculation of the structure will start only if the essential structure or scanning parameters are changed. - Cancel abolishes all changes in this dialog and closes it.
From the in-application help of Chandezon Crossed, documented through 2018. If you publish results computed with MC Grating, see how to cite it.
