Takes Botten's modal analysis off the plane of incidence. In a conical mount the field in the grating region is split into two orthogonal components, each expanded in the lamellar modes, and the resulting program handles dielectric and metallic gratings with deep grooves at arbitrary angles of incidence and arbitrary incident polarization.

Modal Conical is the conical-mount modal code; it accepts the structure files of Modal Collinear and, as the product page says, runs about eight times slower for the extra generality.

MC Grating is Windows software that computes diffraction gratings by [the modal method](https://mcgrating.com/features/modal-method.html) and [the C method](https://mcgrating.com/features/c-method.html). [The download page](https://mcgrating.com/download.html) has the current release, which runs in demo mode without a license key.
